How much does psychological treatment cost?
The cost of psychological treatment depends on the qualifications and experience of the therapist. Much of the skill of a therapist lies in knowing what to do in complex cases or what to do if treatment does not go according to plan. Clinical Psychologists have trained for many years, have experience in a range of treatment formats and are experts in their field.
The term Clinical Psychologist is a protected tile and indicates postgraduate training and qualifications in psychological problems / mental health difficulties. Regular continuing professional development and also professional supervision are a requirement of registration with the Association of Clinical Psychologists and with the Health Care Professions Council.
If you have Health Insurance, then you would need to check with the company that your policy covers psychological treatment and obtain an agreement from your Health Insurance company to proceed.
